Moving The Embassy and Recognize Jerussalem As The Capital Of Israel

US President Donald Trump fulfills his campaign promise and will move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This move invited strong international condemnation. An overwhelming majority of United Nations member states opposed to the United States regarding the disputed status of Jerusalem. Brazil is one of the countries opposed to the decision of US President Donald Trump and supports the resolution of the UN General Assembly. Even though Brazil's decision to support Palestine resulted in the US Department of Commerce also recommending a 53 percent tariff on all steel imports from 12 countries, including Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Egypt, India, Malaysia, Russia, South Korea, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam. The US also threatened to stop providing additional financial supplies. But all these things did not make Brazil afraid to stop supporting the independence of the Palestinian state.

Brazil officially recognized Palestine as an independent state in 2010. Luiz Ignacio Lula da Silva as the Brazilian president, expressed his support for the Palestinian state. He said he was ready to do anything to help the Palestine state. At that time, Brazil contributed $ 10 million to the Hamas group, which ruled the Gaza Strip and vowed to destroy Israel. In 2014, the Brazilian government withdraw our ambassadors from Israel due to Israeli military aggression to Gaza. After that, on Saturday (6/2/16) Brazil opened the Palestinian Embassy in western Brazil, this inauguration occurred a few weeks after Brazil refused Dani Dayan as Israeli ambassador.

I and all Brazilians people will always support a Palestinian state and will always fight for their rights. Some examples of support for Palestinian Independence are in Al Quds Day. Thousands of Brazilian Muslims gathered on the street in the Sao Paulo city protocol to access the grand parade to commemorate World Al Quds Day, Friday (8/6/18). Parade participants show their opinions and anger over the Zionist regime's crimes against the Palestinian people. The Al-Quds Parade is led by a number of local Islamic scholars who place in stores day and shopping places regularly and safely. Furthermore, Brazil also joined the forum of four leading developing countries, held in New York. This forum consists of Brazil, Indonesia, India and South Africa.

The victory of Palestine is certainly an international victory over all the support that has been given. Like the example of South Africa, the world says, no for the apartheid regime in South Africa. The regime at that time was ignored because the international world did not want to accept them. Israel and US must pay attention to this similar movement. The world is starting to point in that direction, Israel's isolation campaign can begin at any time. It is proven that there are still many countries that refuse to move their embassies to Jerussalem. It is prove the unity of the international community that agrees with the standards of state behavior if they want to be accepted in international relations, of course they must be disciplined and obedient to international law. If Israel does not want to follow, then they must pay for their behavior. Therefore, the United States must reconsider they decision to move its embassy to Jerussalem.
